I have a friend with me at my home
who loves to speak as a lot as she wants about everything. She talks about the
neighbors, what happened when I go to college, what was the lunch, how it tastes
what was the recipe, and how can tea be improved. Every little thing that happened.
And I just listen…that’s the best I can do to her.
She is my grandmother. What I learned
from her was that the way one speaks out some stories definitely contains
elements we can hold on to for a lifetime. She speaks about her 85 years of
experience. Her viewpoint and suggestions to the problems, joy in those little
trifles she had done when she was little. Those stories sometimes make me think about what I am today. From our grandparents to our parents to us ….those tales must flow.
Those tales I hear from her have no mask, it’s pure life experiences.
More than that, they’re far better than those Instagram stories that I scroll
worth nothing but a waste of time. I think we all need someone like her in our
life to make us know that life is not so filtered as in reels but IS NAKED. At some
point, we need to face it.
