Hey there , this is my first blog post I am excited to share my thoughts and experiences with all of you. I hope you enjoy reading my blog and find it informative or entertaining. Please feel free to leave comments and share your own experiences as well.
Yesterday, I finished reading "The Courage to Be Disliked" by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga.
It was an eye-opening and thought-provoking book that explored the concept of self-acceptance and the importance of living authentically. The book's message really resonated with me and I found myself reflecting on my own life and the choices I've made.
Among the chapters the one that toughed me the most was , "The courage to be normal"
I think it is worth discussing ,
Up until the moment I reached this chapter, I too wanted to be a special person someone like Marie Curie and also wanted to feel special in some way or the other. But why is it necessary to be special ?
Why can't one accept one's normal life ? Being normal , being ordinary , really such a bad thing ?
Why people aim for the top of the mountain , making plans & goals for the future ?
Is someone without plans and goals
worth living ? What if one cannot make it on to the top of the mountain ? What would that mean for his life ? What about someone who is bedridden or diseased ?
The point is that , " Our lives are only a series of dots. A well planned life is not something to be treated as necessary or unnecessary, as it is impossible" .The concept of planning is simply a way for us to feel more in control of our lives and to give ourselves a sense of direction.
Without plans and efforts or objectives, your lives matter. Life is a series of moments, which one lives as if one were dancing right now and here. It is enough if one can dance in the now. The act of dancing itself is the goal and no one is concerned with arriving at something by doing it. When people dance, they move their body, legs, hands, and eyes, and they do not stay in the same place with the same momentum. There is no destination in dancing; it has neither a starting point nor an ending one. The process itself is treated as the outcome. So is life ....... It is not necessary to have a specific plan or goal in order to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life. What is important is that you are present in each moment, living authentically and making the most of your opportunities. It is through our attitudes and actions that we shape our lives and determine our level of happiness and fulfillment. So don't worry about having a perfectly mapped out plan or specific objectives. Instead, focus on living in the present and making the most of each moment.
My CONCLUSION is that ,
If you want to be someone (like reaching the top of a mountain ) be serious & start that now !!!!!! (but dear you will miss many dots )
If you don't want to be someone , then let's dance .Do not look at the past or the future ,as long as you are dancing you will get somewhere.
What do you guys think ? What is your view on this topic? Do you agree or disagree with my perspective? I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the matter.
"Yes, that's all for now.
Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you enjoyed it. I look forward to
sharing more of my thoughts and experiences with you in the future. Until then,
take care and have a great day!"
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is seeking to better understand themselves and find the courage to be true to themselves, even if it means facing disapproval from others.
